Scorched 3D has been featured/included in numerous online and print publications including PC World, Maximum PC (CD-ROM), PC Magazine (UK), and GameSpy's Download This!. The game has been downloaded over a confirmed 1.5 million times and is available on most all major download sites, including Download.com, Softpedia, Tucows, FilePlanet, and FileFront.

It was also named SourceForge's Project of the Month for May, 2007.

Review

As far as reviews are concerned, Scorched 3D has received a perfect rating on Download.com, Shareup, and Ytanium, as well as a perfect user score on FilePlanet. Favorable reviews were given by Macworld with 4/5 stars, Linux.com with a score of 8/10, Acid Play with a 90% rating, Tucows with 4/5 cows, GamezWorld.de with a 9/10 rating, and The Linux Game Tome with a 4/5 star user rating.

Scorched 3D has also been shown on ABC2's Good Game TV Show in Australia (hence the "Some Guy" label). It has also been featured on "The Lab with Leo Laporte" episode #69.
